TABLESCAPE THURSDAY---PLUS

SALE ! SALE! SALE ! SALE ! 50 pc. set

I thought this was such a fantastic buy, so I had to share it with all of you. I found it on sale for $199.99 regular price $1,4o7.50, pattern is CHANDON by Noritake. This picture doesn't show the pattern well, but it was always one of my favorites.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the past two weeks, I've been busy trying to clean out drawers and closets, when I came across some of my old business card and their case. The top card is from my last job, I was a Bridal Consultant for a Boscov's store. The dark blue card is one I saved when I owned my boutique. The case was given to me, as a birthday present, from a girlfriend, she loved anything that had to do with Egyptians.
So after finding the above items, my mind traveled back to my days working at Boscov's. My desk was right in the middle of the China Department, where I was surrounded by beautiful china, stemware and everything that went along with setting a table. It seemed as if every time I was showing another, bride-to-be the patterns she could choose from, I found myself falling in love with another set of dishes, guess I was such a good salesperson that I could even sell to myself.

So it's no mystery why I'm still drawn to setting a table and those rooms we eat in. The kitchen shown below is one that has caught my attention lately. It's so bright and cheery and brings thoughts to my mind of the dishes that would look great in there.
Although I'm not crazy about the color blue, I do love when a rich cobalt blue is used with yellow or white and I can picture using them in the kitchen above. I found this set and ALL the sets that I'll show today, on line at http://www.boscovs.com/ . They are all on sale at 50% off, or more, and I am having a very difficult time being good and not buying any. This set is by Spode, BLUE ITALIAN.

The next dishes are also by Spode, called Floral Haven. They make me think of the promise of Spring.

Who wouldn't enjoy a cup of tea, or coffee in my case, from a beauty like this. Although the next picture is not one of a dinning room, I would love to see this room used as one, it has such a romantic looking atmosphere. I absolutely love the windows in this room.

Maybe ' my table in there could be dressed with some of the following dishes:

ITALIAN COUNTRYSIDE by Mikasa
Or even Mikasa's ENGLISH COUNTRYSIDE, how could I choose, I love them both.

This butter dish shows the pattern much better.

You can even find BUTLER'S PANTRY by Lenox on sale at the site.

And wouldn't it be nice to sip a cup of your favorite tea after dinner, from ROYAL ALBERT, OLD COUNTRY ROSES CHINTZ, or a nice afternoon tea, with the girls.

Or to follow up your dinner with a good glass of wine from this interesting pattern below, sitting by a nice cozy fireplace. They are by Mikasa and the pattern is CHEERS ARTISTRY TAPESTRY.

Well that's it for D's Day Dreams for today, hope you enjoyed seeing some of my favorite picks of dishes. These was so much more to choose from, but you can see them all for yourself. Gee, I'm starting to sound like I'm in sales again. ;)

Beautiful. When I saw Boscov's I thought you must be from Pa. I moved to Florida last year from Reading. We had an Albert Boscov Memorial Highway.

Wow, what an amazing deal for those beautiful dishes! All the pictures were so pretty, but I think my favorites are Lenox Butler's Pantry because of the simplicity & the shape of the plates and Mikasa's English Countryside! Great post! ♥ Diane
